hi there, looking for players and suggestions for a play by post i'm thinking of setting up..i've called it for now "A Hidden Threat..."The courts of Theah have always been home to a few shadows and secrets, noble and serf alike know this and have always taken care never to disturb them.. Yet some shadows mean to do the world of Theah harm..... Can you stop them before it is too late ? or will you simply think to gain power from the shadows and further their schemes ?******************************************************************************************************************************Set in AEG's rich and varied setting of Theah, home to pirate and noble, courtier and spy alike, this will be a continent spanning game as PC's move among the great and low of the land, some working for their own ends, others helping out their nations and secret society's, but all somehow being touched by the insidious evil that is at work behind the scenes.. Characters ( whilst unable to be the " rulers " of the land ) can be as wide and varied as wished ( as long as they work with the game and setting ) from one simple person to an entire family dynasty if so wished ( and people are up to it ) How they move and interact with the others around them will be entirely up to the player ( granted they will still get the odd distraction thrown their way just to keep things interesting )just a question to those of you familiar with the setting, i'm thinking of setting it say a year before the montaigne revolution, gives you time to actually play in a " safe " Montaigne ( what you think ? ) hope to hear more from you guys thanks

short answer:

Yes, setting a year ahead of the revolution gives you plenty of time to play in a "safe" Montaigne. Well, as safe as Montaigne ever is with all the intrigue and what have you. How about we just pretend that it's a safe time relative to the events to unfold in a year.

I think it's a grand idea for a game.

I'm not sure, but I think you are mixing up your history.

Cardinal d'Argeneau is the missing Cardinal from Montaigne, that Leon took his house and made it into a home for disabled soldiers.

Meanwhile, it was Giovanni Villanova, whose father "fell" down the stairs, when the boy was 10.

Well, there might be something about it in the Die Kreuzritter book, but I don't know that book well enough to find it. It is about the Heirophant's men, so it may mention something.

NOTE:  Changed the thread tag so everyone will be forewarned (if they don't already know)

Pretty sure if it's anyplace it'll be in Leon's description in the Montaigne book (Im downstairs with the daughter otherwise I'd look it up myself).

Oh and anderoo, welcome aboard.

Ok several hours later and a good bit of reading done, the Hierophant's official name is....

Whatever you'd like it to be...
