Oh yes, and many thanks to Alex for the idea of the Widows and Sorte rituals!

So I suggest you take that back.

Well, more like a bit of "Strand Tugging", eh?
It really does look good, and I got a new white notebook all ready for it to be put into (I bought a whole bunch of them, to put in all my 7th Sea dowloads, to make them all look matching. Now I just got to find a colored picture for the front, to make it match all the rest, the rest of the way.

Some thoughts.
I like that there is a secret Strega society below the public Vodacce society. I get the impression that it is actually very strong. But exists to keep women of Sorte in a subservient roll. After all, it is the men that are the rulers, not the women.
Also did anyone notice the opening lines: "This book is dedicated to the Sorte Strega of Vodacce, which is a little ironic given that they are banned from learning to read. However, if you believe that is true for even noblewoman in a country like Vodacce, you are probably a little too na?e to be playing the great game."
Well, there goes the "you can only play an illiterate Fate Witch." statement.
Some thoughts on the crunchy section. At least where I am up to so far.
Strega tracking - I've done that to rescue a PC's wife. I threw in mandatory raises when they got to difficult areas. Such as when the strand they were following crossed a small party. They thought the thread lead them to the party when it was beyond.
Weaving - Hey, that looks interesting. I can see a player or two begging for that. It defiantly gives an game mechanic for the charismatic Vodacce man.
Killing with Sorte - Is the payback harsh enough? However, Dueling Sterga looks ... well... horrifying(?)
Role playing the mechanics:
When Sterga manipulate strands, do you have them work with their hands, or just do it mentally? If mentally, what does that mean for Clutching?
