I tried to go to Jack Harding's site (7th Sea Compendium) and got a message saying that "There is no website configured at this address."Anyone know what happened?

This is what Sir Jack posted on the alderac forums...



"Just letting folks know, The 7th Sea Compendium is down temporarily. The folks at the data center accidentally reformatted the server that hosts the site. My web provider is working to get the server back up and running and the backups installed as quickly as possible.



I had hoped everything would be working again by now. But, since the site has been down all day and there is a rather ominous sounding error message when you try to access the site, I figured I ought to post a heads up just in case anyone is curious."

I would like to register to Sir Jack's but he has the new user registration down and has been so since 8/11.  Does anyone know how I might get in touch with him by email so that I would be able to post or get into the forums?

Don Joaquin, sorry for not getting back to you sooner! As Black Jack said, there was a flood of spammers on the site. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time to deal with them anymore. One of two things has to happen before I open up registration again. Either I have to find some sort of automated way of filtering most spammers (I realize it's impossible to catch them all), or someone reliable who can check on things much more often than I can volunteers to help moderate the site. So far neither of these has happened



As for ways to contact me, a PM on here will get to me eventually (though I admit it's probably not the quickest way). A PM on AEG's forums will get to me a little bit faster. The quickest way is probably a note like the one you posted here on the Livejournal 7th Sea community. Livejournal is the only non work related site I can access at work so it gets checked daily (I don't know if it's an over sight by the IT folks or if someone in IT wants to check on Livejournal at work too, either way, I'm not complaining!)

That having been said then, would it be too much trouble to ask if you would post my new Schools in the Swordsman Section on your site for me since I don't have any way to do it myself?

If I were you, I'd use the cool "Click here to send an email to Sir Jack Harding" button after the Date Posted information.  It took Sir Jack almost 3 weeks to get your message.  Emailing him will be far quicker.
