Reply to MondaviHere is one other school I found. Maybe it is the one you are looking for? Pr?SabreCountry of Origin:EisenDescription:This school developed in Eisen amongst the wealthy riders in the eastern regions of the country. The riders use a fine sabre which requires training to use effectively and some wealth to poses in the first place. Hence the fact that, coupled with the cost of a trained riding horse, this school remains the preserve of the privileged few.The sabre is tricky to use, it is fairly heaving compared to a rapier and also has a sharpened curved edge, making it inflexible in one plane, and less effective for thrusting. The curve can also add to the difficulty in wielding it and in Parrying with it. All in all the users must train to use it apart from their normal Fencing styles. The Pr?style allows this slashing weapon to be used in conjunction with the speed of a mount, carefully controlled by their one-handed grip of the reins and controlled leg movements. Not for this school are the sudden all out attacks of the Posen cavalry, but rather a number of techniques which put off the target's balance and defense culminating in a precise but overwhelming strike to fell a target. The weakness of this school is in the dependant nature of the swordsman on his mount, and if instead of worrying about this curving sword the defender can quickly strike the mount, then the riders training and skills become useless.Basic Curriculum:Fencing, RiderSwordsman Knacks:Feint (Sabre), Sabre (Fencing), Wheeling Attack (Sabre), Exploit Weakness (Pr? Sabre)Apprentice:The student learns how to use the obvious height advantage to great effect in his own attacks, and also how to make life exceedingly difficult for the man on the ground. You gain +1 UK die on all Attacks while mounted and your opponent loses 1 UK die from their own Attacks. These only apply if your opponent is not also mounted, i.e. it's similar in function to theLeft HandedAdvantage.Journeyman:By learning how to focus your attack as you approach a target and combining this with the heavy, but deadly, sharp edge of the sabre you can easily decapitate a target who is not swift to move. You make a Called Shot for this Attack at 4 Raises (+20 TN) and spend 1 Drama Die. If you Hit your opponent then you may add the a number of Unkept dice to the damage roll equal to the Brawn of your mount; this would normally be 4 as in the GM Bestiary. This deadly strike will do 1 Dramatic Wound to the target on top of normal damage. In addition, the Journeyman now gains +1 UK die to all Ride Knack rolls.Master:The Master becomes one with his mount and is able to pick up on it's movement and thus improve his own situation as a rider. They act as a team and pose a dangerous opponent for anyone to face. At this level you gain +1 to your Finesse whilst mounted: Similar to Valroux, but only when mounted.Notes:Sabre (Fencing):When mounted and using a sabre (Fencing weapon) this replaces the Fencing (Attack) Knack. It is treated like a Basic Knack for students. This is similar to the Posen school Lunge (Polearm) Advanced Knack. By dint of the fact that AEG have included this I assume that simply using the Polearm Knack whilst mounted is not particularly effective, hence the need for a new Knack. I've followed this train of thought and included the Sabre Knack to replace Fencing for mounted swordsmen, thus meaning that using the Attack (Fencing) Knack should be penalized when mounted.Wheeling Attack:The rider may use his mount to ride around the target in a tight circle, attacking both to his left and right, raining slashes down at the harried opponent. You make a number of Raises equal to the target's Parry Knack Rank (Attackers choice), if successful he may not use this Knack for the remainder of the Round and you gain +5 to your TN to be Hit for a number of Phases equal to your Rank in this Knack. This Phase counting as 1.
