I was complaining the other night that I couldn't find a swordsmans School that fit my character. I play an Eisen composer/musician, who has the ability to fight, etc. - as is necessary in this game sometimes. But, the closest I can find would be Aldana, with the whole music-in-the-head thing. But, that doesn't really fit, the character is a composer, not a dancer. Then, The Mad Castillian, suggested a school based on the concept of how themusic conductormoves when conducting. This got me thinking a bit about it. the whole focus would be on tempo(variable speed) and time signatures(2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 2/3, 6/8, etc.)I'm guessing Thrust would be a Knack, because a conductor will often thrust his baton at a musician or group within the orchestra. But, for the life of me I can't take it any further at the moment.Anyone have any suggestions? Or is there a schoolout there already that is similar?

We could call it Leupold's School of the Melodic Blade.

It should utelize the Main gauge as well.  Perhaps you parry with a rapier and tag with the main gauge.

Either that or you could just insult yer opponent by poking them in the forehead with a baton.  *shrugs*

Durchsetzungbrughrahaurer might be a better fit than Aldana.

Remember, one composer who fences does not a school make. One fencing composer who creates a notable variation on an existing style over time might have himself a school, though.

Slapstick and Barna have done variations on dance/music themed schools before, too, I think, and they're worthwhile reads.

I'd thought about Durschetzenburg, but the style of it doesn't fit.  That being said, it appears to be the best fit, so far.  I'll probably start off wtih that one, try to learn some various other knacks, and begin the creation of a School in the charater's own style.  Of course, that's a long way off and several knack advancements later - lots of XP to get to a point where the character could create his own school.  I think it will be fun to play out...
