This is something that has been on my mind for a while (and please forgive me if it's obvious)  just how long does a Fate Witch's twisting/stretching/loosening on a Strand last?

Player's Guide (TCTBTNO printing), pg. 222:

In re: Tugging Strands:  This change lingers for one day per Rank in the Knack used.

Stretching Strands seems to imply that it only lasts for one roll: If a fate which wishes to increase the die a Hero uses for an action she must make a Resolve + Appropriate Knack roll.  [emphasis mine]

Which on the one hand, seems rather rough on the poor Fate Witches. On the other hand, it doesn't cost a Drama die to perform, and it seems more in line with making little alterations in fate that lead to success or failure in battle.

On a personal note, I would reverse the use of those terms. In other words, Stretching refers to the day-per-rank changes and Tugging refers to the single-action changes, but that's just me.

I need one clarification about Castillian blades, and I have a few questions about the Astrologer advantage in the Vendel book.

Blades: Can a foreigner take the Castillian Blade advantage?  I know of a few sources that suggest foreigners can, and others that say foreigners can't.

Astrologer: Under what conditions can a Vendel Astrologer influence a target.  Does he have to see and talk to the target (give him advice), or does he simply have to know his name and goals?  I assume the astrologer needs to know the target's birthday, but does he need any other information.  Also, does the TN increase for rolls apply to all rolls or just those in the mass combat system?

Any info you can give me would ne appreciated.  Thanks!!

This "universal solvent" idea is complete nonsense. Look: if it exists and if you do manage to find the formula, how exactly do you plan to store the cursed stuff.

Another update:Prince Lucani's four daughters are: Angelina (age 14 as of 1670), Astra (age 12), Albra (age 10) and Alatielle (age 8).

1670?  Does this smell to a new Almanac?

Okay, a background clarification here...which way do the rivers in Theah Flow? At least the main ones, please...

--SAL--
THE RIVER that seperates eisen and Montaigne from southern civilization flows west toward Barcino.  THe northern of the two in Eisen flows to the sea, the southern of the two flows to the river.

anything in Montaigne flows to the coast it connects to.  (I would venture that when the river hits the Drachenberg range, it's impassable to ships and east of the drachenbergs it actually flows east through ussura and the crescent lands)

I have a few questions:

1)  if you have a boat with 0 brawn how do you soak damage?

I would guess you would treat it like any other "0" trait.  Roll 1D10, but count the "10" as a ZERO.  (Sucks doesn't it? ) ~Ravenshadow~

2)  are laerdom mages only allowed to take 5 runes?  or can they eventually have them all?

Since they went out of their way to describe all the other limitations on number of Runes / day, controlled at a time, I would guess you could learn any number of actual runes themselves. ~Ravenshadow~

3)  who do i contact if i would like to have something i create for 7th sea published?

Contact Lady Yu, she is the Brand Manager.  You can PM her or even email (I believe) here from her profile listing.  You can also find her on AEG's 7th Sea mailing lists.  ~Ravenshadow~
