Ok, I'm a lil new to running this game, only have two sessions under my belt which is almost three adventures for us, and I"m have one big problem that is probably right under my nose but yet evading me.What are the rules for healing Dramatic Wounds naturally?I'm wanting to think it should be about one per act unless the GM decides otherwise due to time (like the hero's sail for a month and a half to Vodacce and back) or other factors play in (The stream of pink liquid in the middle of the syrneth ruins that the hero fell into closed everything up and made him feel like he'd has his weaties). I'll probably still run it in this way afterwards, I'm just trying to find out the actualy rule so I can explain to the heroes that mine is different if it is.Thanks in advance for any help, and I apologize profusely for any inconvienience my murderous rampage may hav...oops wrong one, I mean all my spelling errors.

What are the rules for healing Dramatic Wounds naturally?

Per the Player's Guide (2nd printing) pg 189: "all Dramatic Wounds heal between Stories"

Per most GMs on this board: If you don't like the rules, change them.

and the new membership covers the question.

They are called dramatic for a reason or two.

1- they are a dramatic wound of "great severity".

2- they heal when it is "dramatically appropriate" to have them do so. This lets the heroes suffer as long as you need them to and keeps them as healthy or weak as you want for any particular event.

Since I haven't said so yet, welcome aboard to both of you.

While there is a WOW account installed on my computer, it certainly isn't mine. And I'd never play a human rogue. Then again, I'd never use the Salamanca name for another character, the 7th sea version is really way to close to being it's own entity to spread it out elsewhere.

Now there is no way I have exclusive domain on that name either. Between the various towns and cities in the world using it, someone else had to think it sounded cool. I swiped it from that little description of the metalurgy in the original Highlander movie. (the police lab report after the fight in the parking garage)

But definitely never playing WOW.

My opinion has always been that DW are healed by wrapping a bloody bandage around the characters head, or putting their arm in a sling...

In other words: I mostly agree with Sal.

Ditto here. My players usually know that when they get a DW, it will go away more or less when my GM whismsy so determines

Besides, the time between stories may be too short sometimes. While I wouldn? dare mention "realism" and 7th Sea in the same sentence, there? a bit of that too...

The 'R' word! curse you Barna, I cannot stand the pain.

Seriously, I prefer dramatic reasoning to realistic ones, My players can easily heal over one night if I don't see any dramatic reson for them to be injured.
