Looking for some riddles for when my PCs come across an Unseelie-blooded villain. I have some written down, but looking for more. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, if you are looking for riddles the players can't just go and look up on the internet, there's always Riddle Masters (LINK).  I have all their books from the last 2-3 GenCons, plus they put out a riddle a week on the site.

In addition, my quick search-fu reveals the following sites for riddles

www.riddles.com

http://www.rinkworks.com/brainfood/riddles.shtml

http://www.riddlenut.com/

http://www.azkidsnet.com/riddles.htm (note these are children's riddles so pretty easy, but could be useful)

That get you started?

This is my Favorite Riddle. It could easily modified to have heroes escape. However, they are cursed to have the unseelie reappearing until they can find the dollar.

Three friends check into a motel for the night and the clerk tells them the bill is $30, payable in advance. So, they each pay the clerk $10 ($10*3=$30) and go to their room. A few minutes later, the clerk realizes he has made an error and overcharged the trio by $5. He asks the bellhop to return $5 to the 3 friends who had just checked in. The bellhop sees this as an opportunity to make $2 as he reasons that the three friends would have a tough time dividing $5 evenly among them; so he decides to tell them that the clerk made a mistake of only $3, giving a dollar back to each of the friends. He pockets the leftover $2 and goes home for the day! Now, each of the three friends gets a dollar back, thus they each paid $10-$1(each got back) =$9. Now since 3*$9=$27, Plus the $2 in the bellhop's pocket equals $29.

Where did the other dollar go????

thanks for the posts and the help...those websites are giving me plenty of good riddles to doom the party

also, guardnacho, where did that dollar go?

10, 10, 10 to desk guy(30 total)

$5 dollar mistake ($25 at desk, bellhop has other $5)

bellhop gives each $1 and keeps $2...i don't see a dollar missing...guess i don't get the riddle

or is the answer that there is no missing dollar

You have the solution.

When you present it to the players you misdirect them by asking them:

Q: How much did each Pay?

A: $10

Q: If you pay $10 and get $1 back, How much did each pay?

A: $9

Q: and 9*3 is?

A: 27

Q: Plus the $2 dollars in the bellhop's pocket?

Q: Where is the Dollar?

The idea is that you keep leading the players back to the equation above.

It is best to practice any riddle before you use it on your target. You will see how easy it is to keep redirecting after you have told it a couple of times.
