RE:Origins 2008

A 7th Sea LARP linked to the Crimson Valor campaign will be there and in place IF my entire universe gets itself righted. Things have been a bit out of whack for the last month but seem to be getting straight.
Now a couple of notes about this...
- It will be a LARP. I will be writing up some pregens as usual. - It is suppossed to be linked to the Living 7th Sea/Crimson Valor campaign from Game Base 7. IF and only IF Those running that campaign actually get around to sending me some of the background Info I needed to set up the NPCs and what not.
- Either way it will be the same plot. - If it does link to Crimson Valor, I will be allowing players to Play their tabletop characters from the campaign. It doesn't take me more than a minute to convert a character to LARP stats. - I will NOT be allowing home characters for this game just because it's a balance issue.

I am still planning to help run that very late on saturday night Mega-Paranoia game that we have been doing to 11 years now. (egads, time flies when you are killing clones) It's the most fun you can have at Origins if you can stay awake.
I have no idea what the plot or theme is. i never get that information until about two hours before the event.
--------------------------------------------------------
I am not scheduling to run any tabletop events. I'm not promising to write any. but I will probably have enough of a plot to run the following.
The 7th sea game i was considering running last year. it would be a pregen thing, have no sorcery and be all sorts of crazy. If you thought that thing with the O'bannon and the wine was nuts, you have seen nothing yet. (If I wasz going to do a swansong, this may be it)
A sequel to the "It came from the Late, Late Show" that I ran two years ago. Biff Bingle and the Space Rangers have at least one Sequel in them.

I talked with Ravenshadow early this week, or late last week (time really doesn't work for me like it does the rest of you anymore, it all blurs) and as of that conversation, he is handling events for Margeret Weis' company at Origins. I promised to pinch hit as a GM if he ended up shorthanded. So I could be running a Serenity or Battlestar Galactica event and not know it.
--------------------------------------------------------
I have promised to give up all my plans for a Lunch Money LARP in the parking garage. I still think taking their ticket hitting them with a pipe and grabbing their wallet sounds like a great game.

The following games are things you should think about if you have the time:
-- Dread: simple game where you draw Jenga pieces instead of using dice. tip the stack and fail horribly, pull the piece and you may live. Great Horror game and the guys that run it are really great fellows.
-- Spirit of the Century: Someone will be running events for this, it's a great game, go try it.
-- Aerodrome: A world war 1 minitature dogfight game. you get a plane and 5 players on your side to take on the other 6 guys from the enemy. Planes are provided for use. rules are easy to learn. as a miniature game, you only need to worry about one piece and they tend to get two games in during the 2 hour session. And the regulars are some of the most polite and friendly folks I ever met at a con in the minis room. Nobody seems to ever pull an ego fit. they don't sulk, it's very refreshing.
-- A crimson Valor event: you will need a character for the Larp anyhow, better it be one you designed.

Damn! Asking for exposition is like kryptonite to NPCs!
