Hi hi...
4th Edition D&D came out, featuring ripostes, healing surges, minions and other 7thSea-ish things.
So I thought it would be an opportunity to reconvert 7thSea, doing this right this time. This would help d20 fans and new gamers to enter into the game, and people who want to add swashbuckling elements in their standard d20 games.
I can even dare to say that in many points it can be better than the original 7thSea system (well, ok, nobody plays exactly the original, we house rule ;)).

There is a thread about that in the alderac forums.
We need art, playtesters and authors!

you want me to help convert a fun cinematic game that is all about freeflowing creative combat into 4th ed? 

This is the version that takes four hours to run two encounters when the demo team runs it.  4th ed. is a boardgame hiding behind an RPG mask.  It's not even a well balanced tactical boardgame at that.    4th ed. at best will be a gateway product to better games.  Adding the word riposte to some mechanic does not make that game more swashbucklery. 

Good luck and all that but don't ever expect me to support any sort of abberation like this conversion.  Genre games never have fit well into generic system play.  Half the reason they work is because rules are tailored to highlight their style.
