Hello!

I've been doing a bit of research, and I have a question. Since the Vaticine faith says that animals have souls, wouldn't blood sports such a bullfighting be frowned upon by the clergy?

Killing an animal for food can be excused,  I  guess, but for sport?

Then again maybe I'm reading too deep into it... There are so many inconsistencies in that church anyhow.

You are probably overthinking it.  After all, this is the same church who turns a blind eye to mistresses in Vodacce, the wholesale slaughter of heretics in Eisen and Castille, and started a war to eradicate a  King in Montaigne.  All this, not to mention the sanctioning of duels throughout Theah.   

The long and the short of it, I guess is there's  murder and then there's MURDER.

Anyway just my 2.483779567 guilders worth.

Well, it could be argued that the church has precious little power in Vodacce. So they are not so much turning a blind eye as staying alive. The last thing they want is the princes uniting against them!

And according to the second prophet killing heretics is not murder.

Oh well, the Vaticine church presented in the books is rotten. Might as well keep it that way!
