HEY ALL! I will try and post answers WITHIN the Message that the question was asked, that way answers are right with the questions and people do not have to scroll as much. If you have a official answer, please Private Mesage it to me, include sources and page references and FULL-TEXT answer please, and I will post it with credit.***I thought that I would post up these two threads (for 7th Sea and for Swashbuckling Adventures) that would allow all of us to post an inquiry or item in the rules/text that confuses us.Note: This thread is for Roll and Keep 7th Sea material, the D20 Swashbucling Adventures has its own thread. What I would like to see is questions from everyone in reagrds to world infor or rules info that can be collected here, in one place, so that AEG may come and take a look at it in order to formulate a new (and improved) FAQ about the World of Theus and the R&K system. This is really not menat to be a discussion of "what I think the rules are" but more of a "post the question, let AEG officially answer it". If we want to make further discussion about something--the merits/flaws of a official rulevs a house rule--lets do that in another thread! Thanks, Ravenshadow.

When Crippled, the book states that only Drama Dice explode, but there may be text that states that Brawn rolls for Wound Checks also Explode at this time (This was a rule during the time when -2uk was the penalty for being Crippled as opposed to no exploding dice).  Also, many believe that Firearms and Crossbows (as well as possibly other Damage rolls) also should Explode.

What are the exact rules for what dice Explodes and what doesn't when you are Crippled?

Lady Yu's response:
Errata: Player's Guide, 1st ed. pgs. 30 and 195; Compendium, pg. 5; and 2nd ed. pgs. 20-21 and 189:

When Dramatic Wounds = Resolve (Crippled), only your Drama Dice Explode.  For all other rolls, including Wound Checks and Firearms damage, the dice DO NOT Explode.  Initiative Rolls, which do not Explode in any case,  are played as normal despite Wound Status.  You are, of course, free to modify that to suit your campaign and gaming style.

This was from Old Nick back on 06/27/2003:

Q.  Ok, so it's not likely any of my player will ever hear of Zerst?ung, but still:  "By spending a Drama Die, the sorcerer causes a single non-living item (...) to become brittle and unusable."  "Raises can be used to affect additional items:" Raises to what? You don't need to make any rolls for Zerst?ung, you "only" need to spend a Drama Die. Sure, you can use the sorcerous knacks to make your work easier, but the knacks aren't required, they're only an extra bonus.  So, if I don't roll any dice, how can I make raises?

Q.  In the Rilasciare book page 76 is said that one of the benefits for membership in the society is:  "...Once per scenario, they may add one die to any Resolve roll they make."  Is once per Scenario the same as once per Story? And the Resolve die is kept or unkept?

A.  (Salamanca)  Scenario is the same as every story.  I interpret it to mean a kept die.  If I'm wrong, Ravenshadow can re-edit and correct me.

How does Dracheneisen work against brute squads?

Ravenshadow--Answer for the first part from Kevin Wilson (courtesy of REV's Clarifications Page on his Web Site):

For each -0k1 Damage Die protection which Dracheneisen normally gives results in one full ‘hit’, of any strength, ignored from a Brute Squad. So at the higher level of -0k2 protection you can ignore two ‘hits’ from each attack of a Brute Squad, whether they are Small (3), Medium (6) or even Firearms (15).

Q.  How work exactly the Goodfellow's journeyman ability?  Does in one action you can laod and fire two arrow (without snapshot) or you  load two arrows and fire them boths?  Or maybe otherwise?

Q:  (A laerdom question)  Can you call raise for these runes and if yes, what are the effects?  Velstand (both versions) Host Grenselos Herje Villskap

A:  (Salamanca)  I was hoping one of the magic savvy would handle this but here is my answer:  Look at each rune individually.  If it allows an effect that can be increased, it can be raised.  Damage can be raised, information gained can be raised, increased stats can raise the duration, etc.  If there is no logical reason to call the raise there is no need to try and raise it.  You can make a list as the GM or allow your players to try and get creative on you for this.  (You will have a better feel than i would for individual effects as my Vestenamnnyvjar don't really use the runes)  Appologies for the dealy in response.
